The average transfer student loses a semester or more of credit

Never take a class that won’t count.

Most tools tell you what happened to your credits. CarryOver plans forward: pick your schools and major, and it shows which classes to take this semester — and exactly what each one counts toward at every school on your list. Across 1169 schools.

Plan what to take

Even before your first semester: for every school you’ve saved, see exactly which classes still count toward your major — and watch one planned course move all of their rankings at once.

Real rules, from official sources

Every rule comes from official state articulation sources — never guessed. If we’re not sure, we say “not covered yet” instead of showing you a wrong answer.

Two kinds of coverage, and the difference matters. In a course-by-course state we can tell you what your specific class becomes at a specific school. In a guarantee state we can tell you which courses satisfy the statewide general-education block — a real promise, but not a course-for-course answer. Major-by-major prep plans currently exist for California senders.

What you’ll see

Course by course, in plain language: what transfers, what doesn’t, and what each class counts for at your target school.

And because you’re planning ahead — not just auditing the past — CarryOver tells you what to take next term at each school you’re considering.

Fair questions

Is my data sold?

No. Your transcript and plan are yours — we never sell or share them, and you can delete everything anytime. We make money one way: students paying for their own plan.

What if my school isn’t covered?

We’ll tell you straight — no guessed answers. We currently cover 1169 schools across 28 states: 19 with course-by-course maps and 9 with statewide general-education guarantees. We expand based on demand, so request your school and we’ll email you when it’s live.

How accurate is this?

Every rule comes from official state articulation sources — ASSIST, TCCNS, SCNS, IAI, and statewide gen-ed guarantees — never scraped guesses. When a rule isn’t verified, we say “not covered yet” rather than risk showing you a wrong answer. Correctness over coverage, always.

Don’t see your school yet?

We add coverage where students ask for it. Tell us yours and we’ll email you the moment it’s ready.
